The second IAC 38 lifetime achievement award was presented to Thomas Myers for his devotion, and tireless efforts to IAC 38. For his devotion to safety and education and detail in keeping the ship not just afloat, but steering the right direction.
The IAC 38 Sportsman belt, was a long standing tradition in competitive aerobatics going back near 50 years. Until many years ago, Dennis Ernst of IAC38 continued this tradition, and in his passing, IAC 38 has continued this tradition of presenting the IAC38 Sportsman Belt. This hand tooled leather belt is awarded to the lowest scoring sportsman pilot who received no zero's on any figure, It is meant to inspire and reward the pilot to continue working hard towards future success in aerobatics. This years IAC38 Sportsman Belt is awarded to Ted Hong.
The IAC 38 Achievement through Adversity Award was inspired at the Coalinga Western Showdown in 2016 and has become the Special Award presented by IAC 38. The Achievement through Adversity Award is presented to the competitor that suffered mechanical issues, distractions, unfortunate luck or other obstruction during the course of the contest.
This years Achievement Through Adversity is presented to Abdulah Alqulblan.
The Highest Scoring American Champion Aircraft Award is presented to the pilot with the highest overall score flying an ACA or Bellanca Aircraft.
This years ACA Award is presented to Jake Carter flying an ACA 8KCAB Super D.
The Highest Scoring Biplane Award is presented to the pilot with the highest overall score flying an Pitts Special or other Biplane.
This years Highest Scoring Biplane Award is presented to Scott Monroe flying a Pitts S1S.
The Best First Time Sportsman Award is awarded to the highest scoring competitor in their first Sportsman contest. This Year it is presented to Michael Mainero.
The Grass Roots Award is presented to the highest scoring pilot flying a 180 Horsepower or less aircraft. This years award was presented to Jake Carter.

Generally runway 30 is standard, w/ left traffic. 26 is also available. landing to the east / southeast is not very common.
Visiting family & friends can visit the ramp area side of the fence but only if escorted by a competitor. Family & friends can observe from the designated Family & Friends tent area east of the ramp near the starters tent. Please no unnecessary persons on the ramp. No cars or personal vehicles are permitted on the ramp.
There is little no no extra hangar space at Tracy. You can contact the airport manager to see about renting any vacant hangars. We get limited hangar space from our hosts, SkyView Aviation, but we cannot guarantee space. See the CD on Thursday.
Our awards banquet gala is black tie, or cut off jean short event. This year we have invited back Byrons Texas BBQ, and have a special guest speaker, Sean D Tucker. Limited tickets are available, see the Registrar on Thursday to purchase extra tickets. Extra tickets are available only on first come basis.
